Introduction to Teaching Online

Introduction to Teaching Online web page

In collaboration with the Instructional Technology Department and the Center for Teaching and Professional Development at Sonoma State University, we present a semiannual faculty workshop on best practices for teaching online. The workshop is aimed at faculty who want to take any portion of their course online, from adding interactive components to creating an entire online course.

The workshop has been offered in several formats, including a three-day intensive seminar, a series of short, one-hour sessions over the course of an entire semester, and even a semester-long online course. We continue to revise the format as new technologies become available and new needs are brought to us by faculty.

Another important thing about this package is the image filenaming convention. The image must be uploaded as into the Root > Import Node > Files, snippets, and images > cdl06_folder > images folder. Second, it must be of this format:     projectKey_home.jpg. For example, Voila's image is titled 'voila_home.jpg'.
